Prof SN Imenda
An invitation was recently put out to the Ulundi and Abaqulusi Regions for NATU members to participate is a training programme on Positive School Culture (to include a pinch of Educator Psycho-Social Support) to take place over two half-day workshops on the Saturdays of 15 and 22 May 2021. The training is supported and will be facilitated by the National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT), which also sponsored and facilitated a similar training programme in the Amajuba District last year.
The training will be offered on the Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) platform and participants will be required to provide their own laptops or smart phones. The NECT will credit participants’ devices with the requisite data bundles to enable online connectivity. The training is limited to the first 150 members who confirmed their participation by the closing date of Friday, 23 April 2021.
Immediately after this training, members from the Ilembe and Durban regions will also get an opportunity to receive the same training over the Saturdays of 29 May and 5 June 2021. A call for participation will soon be put out and, again, participation will be limited to the first 150 members to confirm their participation by supplying the information which will be requested.
Members from other Regions have not been forgotten. Training opportunities will be made available as we move on. The limited numbers of participants are due to sponsorship limitations. In the meantime, please, remain in touch.
