The NATU Central Executive Board, comprising the President, Deputy President, four Vice-Presidents, and the General Secretary, was duly elected at the Triennial National Elective Conference held from 3 to 5 September 2025 at the Birchwood OR Tambo Conference Centre in Boksburg, Gauteng. This leadership collective will serve a three-year term until 2028. The Board remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing the National Teachers’ Union (NATU) core mission — to teach every African child like never before and bring joy back into the classroom — through promoting professional excellence and development among educators, vigorously advocating for equitable and sustainable education funding, protecting members’ rights and welfare, and fostering transformative, high-quality learning opportunities that empower every South African learner to reach their full potential.
